I enclose the official note received from the Swiss Charge containing the communication from Germany. Attached is a translation by the Department’s translator with pencil interlineations showing the difference between that and the official English translation by the German Government.
Kindly return the original to me at your earliest convenience as we will have to give out the German text and have made no copies of it.
Faithfully yours,
Robert Lansing
