Text

Dearest,

I phoned the Mutual District Messenger Company. They will have the house unwired at nine o’clock morning next. I told them that M. Davis, our colored butler would be there and if I did not arrive until after the work was completed—unwiring—to turn the keys over to Davis. They say it will take about two hours to complete the job. I should be back from Blue Ridge before it is finished.

Captain Gilmore is leaving his car at the Thompson Garage for repairs, so I am bringing him back Monday. Will see Mrs. Alice Clements this afternoon—I miss you all very much. Leave at 7.15. My address is Avon, NY.

Dearest love,

CTG
