Kind Friend
There is vacancy at the front door of the White house for colored man. I would like very much for you too speak for me and help me all you can. I am waiting on Secretary Breckinridge Long for some years he is willing to do any thing for me too help me, but he is in St. Louis now for week, I can also get letter from Hon Polk, of the State dept, I am sure you remember the old footman Charles. A. Reeder. was with the McKinley, Roosevelt and Taft. Every one at the State Dept is anxious to help me, one word from you will settle it for me, Mr Hoover is also for me.
