Text

My dearest one,

I spent the entire day with the Board. It is a most complicated affair this time, but I hope we get through with it by —I went to the Dispensary early this morning and got Trible to examine my eyes for glasses. I only need them for reading. Sight for distance and accommodation excellent.

I sent Dr Simon Baruch a telegram wishing him many happy returns on this, his 79th birthday.

Trible told me all about the baby’s eye trouble. It was fortunate you sent for him because if it had been allowed to continue would have became troublesome. I am counting on being with you by and possibly night. Not so hot here to-day—Lots of love to my darling Trudie & the boys—
