My dear Mr. O'Brian:
Upon my return to Washington this morning your highly esteemed favor of the 7th instant was brought to my attention requesting that I have the President's address on sanity and patriotism printed as a public document. I have not a copy of this address, and if you will please have one sent to me at once I will take great pleasure in having the same printed as a public document for distribution.
