Dear Admiral
I expect you will be seeing much of Mr. Lloyd George when he reaches Washington: but if you are not otherwise engaged that evening I wish you would come with me to the dinner to him at The Overseas Club on the evening of Saturday Oct. 27. This is a club made up of many of the men we knew at Paris—all writers, except on this occasion when each member brings one “outsider”. The dinners are usually pretty lively because the speaker is not quoted and can cut loose. I think you would enjoy it.
I have been quite busy all the fall without seeming to accomplish much. And I see that you, too, have been full of activity!
With warm regard to Mrs. Grayson and those splendid boys,
Cordially,
Ray Stannard Baker
