Text

My dear Mr. Secretary

I am very glad to have your letter about Kent Island. It is, of course, a most unpleasant and ungracious thing to have to do anything that will disturb people in their homes, but I am convinced you are right in the choice and I will be glad to do anything that I can to help the project along.

Cordially and sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson

Hon. Newton D. Baker,
Secretary of War.
