My dear Mr. Burr:
I am sincerely obliged to you for your letter of April fifth about Mr. Spellacy. I have requested that a thorough investigation be made of the statements that were made to his disparagement and I confidently hope that the matter may be cleared up entirely.I hope that you will not hesitate to advise me at any time you choose.
