William P. G. Harding, of Alabama:

Mr. Harding, who is Governor and member of the Federal Reserve Board, has had extensive banking experience. He began his banking career in 1882, serving in various poistions in banks until he became President of the First National Bank of Birmingham, in 1902, from which position he retired to accept appointment from the President to the Federal Reserve Board. He was President of the Alabama Bankers Association in 1908 and President of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce in 1913. Mr. Harding is 53 years of age.

Allen B. Forbes, of New York:

Mr. Forbes is senior member of the firm of Harris, Forbes and Company, of New York and Chicago. He was born in the West but has resided in New York for many years. He is recognized as an international authority on securities. Since January, Mr. Forbes has been Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Board's Capital Issues Committee, a voluntary organization, which will be replaced by the statutory committee created under the War Finance Corporation Act. Mr. Forbes is about 57 years of age.

Eugene Meyer, Jr., of New York:

Mr. Meyer was born in Los Angeles, California. He was educated in the public schools of San Francisco, the University of California, and was graduated from Yale University in the class of 1895, taking honors in political economy. After graduation he spent a year in the banking business in New York and then spent two years of study in banks and banking houses in Europe, obtaining an intimate knowledge of international, commercial and banking conditions. He entered the foreign exchange and banking firm of Lazard Freres in New York where he remained until 1901 when he started in business under his own name, which he continued until he came to Washington in April, 1917, at the outbreak of the War. Since then he has devoted all his time to war work. Mr. Meyer's business activities cover a wide range connected with the placing and marketing of railroad issues, mining issues and industrial issues generally. He is 42 years of age.

Angus W. McLean of North Carolina:

Mr. McLean is a lawyter, banker, and business man of wide experience. He organized and for many years has been President of a bank in Lumberton, North Carolina. Organized and is financial manager of three large cotton mills and organized, built and is president of a local railroad company. He has also considerable experience in farming, cultivating several thousands of acres of land in North Carolina. Mr. McLean has had a successful career as lawyer, banker, manufacturer and farmer. He is about 45 years of age.

Charles S. Hamblin, of Massachusetts:

Mr. Hamlin is a member of the Federal Reserve Board and was the first Governor of the Board. He is a lawyer and student of finance. He served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury from 1893 to 1897 during the administration of President Cleveland and also as Assistant Secretary of Treasury from 1913 to 1914, during the administration of President Wilson, resigning in 1914 to become a member of the Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Hamlin has had extensive experience in public service. He was special commissioner of the United States to Japan in 1897; Commissioner at the Convention between Japan, Russia and the United States in that same year; Commissioner at the Convention between the United States and Great Britain to determine the fur-seal fishery controversy in 1897; member of the Board of Paris Exposition Commissioners from Massachusetts in in 1898; member of the Executive Committee of the Civic Federation of New England in 1905; member of the Council of the Boston Bar Association 1899 to 1907. He was Chairman of the Massachusetts Council National Civic Federation in 1912. Lecturer at Harvard 1902 to 1903 and is the author of a number of works on financial subjects. Mr. Hamlin is 56 years of age.

John Skelton Williams, of Virginia:

Mr. Williams is Comptroller of the Currency and member of the Federal Reserve Board. Previous to his entry  into public life, was prominent as organizer of banks, trust companies and industrial institutions in the South, from all of which he retired upon accepting appointment by the President in March, 1913, to the office of Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. He was appointed Comptroller of the Currency in January, 1914. With the Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. Williams was also a member of the Organization Committee which under the Federal Reserve Act, was charged with the duty of organizing and putting into effect the new banking and currency system. He was appointed by the President in October, 1913, a member of the Central Committee of the American Red Cross and has been National Treasurer of the Red Cross since 1913. In January, 1918, he was appointed by the Director General of Railroads as Director of the Division of Finance and Purchases of the United States Railroad Administration. Mr. Williams is 52 years of age.

Frederic A. Delano, of Illinois:

Mr. Delano is a member of the Federal Reserve Board and was formerly vice-governor of the Board. He has had wide experience in the railroad business, beginning service with the Burlington in 1885 and rising to the position of General Manager at Chicago, from which position he retired in 1905 to become consulting engineer to the War Department in relation to railroads in the Philippine Islands. He was later President of the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad Company; Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal Railway Company, and the Wabash Railroad. Mr. Delano was appointed by President Taft as a member of the Committee on Industrial Relations in 1912 and reappointed by President Wilson, previous to his appointment as a member of the Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Delano is 54 years of age.

James B. Brown, of Kentucky:

Mr. Brown is a prominent banker and business man of Louisville. He has had extensive experience in matters of finance and has been in the banking business for many years. He is President of the National Bank of Commerce of Louisville. Mr. Brown is director in a number of public utilities companies and has assisted in the organization of the many industrial and utilities companies. Mr. Brown is 45 years of age. 

John S. Drum, of California:

Mr. Drum is a prominent banker of San Francisco. He was admitted to the bar in 1894 and practiced law in California until 1909.  He has been President of the Savings Union Bank and Trust Company of San Francisco since 1910 and is a director in a number of Public Utilities companies. Mr. Drum is 46 years of age.

Frederick H. Goff, of Ohio:

Mr. Goff is a prominent banker of Cleveland and has had extensive experience in banking and manufacturing. He was admitted to the bar in 1884 and for a number of years practiced law in Cleveland. He is President of the Cleveland Trust Company. Mr. Goff is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Capital Issues Committee, organized by the Federal Reserve Board at the suggeston of the Secretary of the Treasury, which will be replaced by the statutory committee created under the War Finance Coprpration Act.

Henry C. Flower of Missouri:

Mr. Flower is a prominent banker of Kansas City. He practiced law in that city from 1886 to 1889, when he organized the Fidenlity Trust Company of which he has been president since. He is also president of the Title and Savings Trust Company and a director in public utilities and industrial companies. Mr. Flower is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Capital Issues Committee, organized by the Federal Reserve Board at the suggestion of the Secretary of the Treasury, which will be replaced by the statutory committee created under the War Finance Corporation Act.
