My dear Mr. Hoover
I have been glad to lay before the President your letter of August 6th, and he asks me to say that he feels that the matter of the exemption from military service of any person connected with the Food Administration or engaged in the production or the handling of foodstuffs should be left entirely to the district exemption boards.
