Text

My dear Mr. Attorney General

One of the difficulties in handling the wool question is that, if I am correctly informed, the American Woolen Company is practically the only purchaser of wool, or at any rate purchases so large a proportion of it as virtually to control in some degree the price. If my information concerning this is correct, our best flank movement against high prices in that field would be to look into the legality of the operations of the American Woolen Company. Is this or is it not a promising lead?
