Text

Dearest Altrude

You are always so generous to me and once when Senator Swanson sent Mr. Wilson some whiskey he wrote him—“your thought keeps me in good spirits” So I say the same thing to you with much appreciation

I had hoped we would see you here for Xmas. but it was nice the boys could come to you—and I know you all enjoyed being together—I missed William & his sweet wife for they have come every Xmas—which has really touched me—This is a rainy gray day and I am staying in—Elizabeth has been here since Dec. 1st as the triplets have a 15 week engagement in Miami—Your dear note reached me Wednesday—you are always ahead of me.

Take care of your dear self and be sure to let me know when you come down

May 1959 hold every blessing for you and yours is the wish of

“Miss Edith”
