Text

—of course—the party of the first part says he thinks the shoe man is right & he had better go to NY

—But it can do no harm to arrange for the other plan—& if later it is wise to change we can—I will enclose the address—& the shoe man said if you would drop him a line he could make an appointment with you, so as not to waste your time. I told him I thought you would be there on Tuesday after Labor day—

I do hope this will not be a burden to you—and if it is—I will be awfully sorry I suggested it. And please remember this is on the house and not for you to pay for!

I have just interviewed one of the men Mrs Brooks spoke of—and while he is not an imposing person—He talks like he knew his business and I told him I would speak favorably to you I expected we would want him for the 6th or 7th—

Love to Mr. Baruch—and do forgive this long, long letter—

Love to Altrude & the boys and all sorts of good luck to you and the warmest appreciation

Your—

EBW
