Text

Dearest

Last night I played “Marse John” with Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Rolfe and Randolph Bolling until twelve o’clock and I lost heavily, but fortunately it was not for real money.

Everything is all right at this end of the line, but I am very lonesome and homesick for you and the boys.

The enclosure from the Culpeper Exponent, I thought, might amuse you—Much, very much love to you all,

Devotedly,

CTG
