Dearest

I miss you and the boys more then my pen can tell.

Yesterday I had a real busy day and it turned out to be a warm Washington day. I had lunch with the Wilsons. Everything there progressing satisfactorily and showed no ill effects as a result of my few days absence. They enquired very particularly for you and the little fellows and Zoona—

I had a call to go to Wilmington. Del. at nine o’clock this morning but over the telephone I persuaded counsel on both sides to let me give my evidence in a deposition which they agreed to—much to my pleasure—

Rebecca L “Shorty” Lipscomb returned to New York this morning—Sam Rank departed at midnight on a trip around the world—so Mr. Ross and I are the lone occupants of 2324.

Yesterday, I paid $624—interest on the Highland Manor note. Weaver was enthusiastic over prospects of selling 16th Street property. He said property was in demand in that vicinity.

I hear through Milton Ailes that Mr. Glover is improving and an operation will not be necessary.

I had a letter from Mrs. Barklie saying that you and she would soon speak of Vultilla as Mrs. Man ’O War, and that your heads and chests would resemble Sam Riddle’s.

The Marmon monogram is on now and it looks fine. I sincerely hope all is going well with you all. I think of you often, and wish I could be with you more. My love to the boys and best of all for the best little girl and mother—

Devotedly

Cary
