Dear Sir:-
There have been circulated by the enemies of Mr. Wilson, the falsehood that his serious attack of illness was caused by the life of dissaipation which he has led.
I enclose herewith a newspaper clipping showing a bullietein which was issued by you and your assistants during the most critical time of his illness, in which you mention that he was suffering from prostatic trouble, and it would seem that some people of small minds base their claim on this statement, that this was due to the loose life which he has led.
I would appreciate the courtesy very much if you would send me a signed statement that would show exactly the reason of this trouble as it would give me great pleasure to be able to show it to these people.
Please also return the clipping and oblige.
Yours very truly
