Dearest Trudie
The bow tie arrived which pleased me and I wore it that evening. To-day the socks arrived, so I am very much in your debt. I think they are just what I wished.
I delivered to Davis the six cans of Carbon Bi Sulphide. He is making satisfactory progress with the cleaning—I put in the request to-day to have the Federal stopped at Kingston on the evening of , and ordered Drawing Room & two louvers, and I will be on hand to meet you all at the station A.M. I shall certainly be happy when you and the fellows are back home again.
Saturday afternoon Mr. Ross & I motored down near Marlborro to see Dixie. She is fine. That night we went to the Garrick Theater to see a play called—Clarence—Early morning we went out to see the yearlings at Bennings—In the afternoon I took Dr Axson for a motor ride and dropped called by to see Dr. Rixey, who is much better. Last night Senator Swanson and I had a long visit with Miss Edith—
To-day Captain CE Riggs called to tell me they have a daughter who arrived last evening, I am going to send her some flowers, she is at Columbia Hospital. Don’t forget to remind you me to tell you Rigg’s story about Sec’y Hughes aboard the Maryland going & coming from Brazil—with a heart full of love—
Ever your devoted
