Text
Dearest,
I have just come in from a motor ride around the speed way—Potomac Park—with JP Tumulty and Ray Baker which was very refreshing as it is a very hot night. Mrs. Brown and Marjorie were here for dinner.
I spent the entire day on the board proceedings and accomplished little. We spent nearly three hours this morning discussing one man and reached no agreement. I spent three hours this afternoon with the Secretary of the Navy and also quite awhile with Willie.
The w awnings are off of 1600 all right. A doctor Nicol called me to-day & wanted to buy 1602—I told him that it was not on the market but would consider a price & to make an offer and we would consider it. Don’t be in a hurry to sell this property unless it is a fancy price because it is worth more to us as long as you own 1600 than to any one else.
Received another notice from the American Security & Trust Co—to-day our account was overdrawn $49.—I’ll take care of it in the morning early & also put in pay check—
Dearest love to your dear darling self and the boys.
