Text
My dear Mr. Macfarland:
Thank you for your letter of yesterday. Like yourself, I am daily fortified in my judgment about the part the United States government should play (or rather should not play) with regard to the public utilities throughout the country. I am even a little shy of following out the suggestion you make, because I find that our commissions get sympathetically engaged and more and more deeply involved.
In haste,
Sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson
