PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BILL TO AUTHORIZE THE PRESIDENT TOINCREASE TEMPORARILY THE MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT OF THEUNITED STATES.
After the word “discharged” in line 21, page 2, of the proposed bill, add the following:Provided, That the drafting of members of the National Guard and of the National Guard Reserve into the service of the United States shall not operate to discharge them from the National Guard or from the National Guard Reserve, as the case may be, and the provisions of Section one hundred and eleven of said National Defense Act, and of any other act, inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed.
