E X E C U T I V E O R D E R
It is hereby ordered that the Departments of State, Treasury, War, Justice, Navy, and Commerce shall each appoint an officer as a representative on an inter-departmental committee to be designated as the WAR TRADE COMMITTEE to confer upon and make recommendations regarding matters of interest to two or more Departments relating to trade during the war in which the United States is engaged. This Committee may call in from time to time other officials or members of their own or other departments of the Government for purposes of consultation and assistance.
The recommendations of this Committee will be presented to the appropriate cabinet officer or officers for their consideration and if they deem it necessary for presentation to the President.
