My darling

I am still rather good for nothing—in fact am in bed half the day,—but am improving slowly. Dr. Wykoff has pronounced it a case of grip. Am so sorry I could not see you,—and the exhibition; and of course it was mortifying to fail Miss Bones at the “tea.” she writes me you were a great help and attraction! I am very glad you could be there.—I am sorry to hear of another cold for you.—hope and pray the phen worked! Madge represents everyone as ill with colds in Balt.Yes, dear, you can go to Silver Bay if you wish. How are you going to work in that, and the wedding in Balt., and the dance here? By the way, you will have to have the bridesmaid's dress made there, will you not? And dont put it off until the last, when you are pressed with a hundred other things. Are they all to be alike?I am very glad the presidency of the Y.W.C.A. is settled in so perfectly satisfactory a way.
It is perfectly delightful that we are to have you so soon, darling! And it is good that it is not our holiday time, for there will perhaps be more for you to enjoy here. It is indeed hard that dear Nell will not be here too.—Banwart is certainly outrageous but I think if Nell does not notice it that there will be nothing further from him. He is at least at a safe distance from her in Boston!I will enclose the check for your March allowance and $5.00 to come home. Write me if you need anything more before your return.—Excuse this short scrawl dearest,—I am rather weak. With love inexpressible.

Your devoted

Mother.
