Text
My dear Miss Wallace:
Your note of the 9th is just received, and I have learned with great distress that Senator Glass’son has suffered a desperate accident. This is most unfortunate, and I can well understand that Senator Glass is unable to give attention to his correspondence.I have just telegraphed my regrets, and hope you will be good enough, if you have opportunity, to convey them to him personally.
