My dear Mr. Hoover
I have been very much interested in your letter of September fourth about the hog supply in the United States. I was discussing the matter this afternoon with the Secretary of Agriculture, since it so directly affects the matter of production, and found his observations and suggestions so interesting that I am going to take the liberty of asking if you will not avail yourself of an early opportunity to see him and match your views with his in this important matter.
Sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson
Hon. Herbert Hoover,
Food Administration
