Dearest Margaret,
I am so glad you are coming! I am perfectly delighted! Mrs. Bradford was so pleased when she heard that you would be here and said right away that you must spend the night. We have dinner at 6.15. Come in plenty of time for that and to be shown around the place first. It takes at least half an hour to see all their is to be seen but you must see them, Mar! I shall expect you at half past 5, at the latest. If you will telephone, Kensington 3910, when you intend to get here if you can come earlier, then please do.
It takes between half an hour and 30/40 to get here from Broad St Station. Take rather the 13th St car and exchange ($.08) to Lehigh going east and get off at Howard St. or take the Market St Ferries going east and exchange at 5th St. to the Frankford via Lehigh car, and get off at Howard. Remember our address is 144 W. Lehigh Ave very near the Episcopal Hospital. If you are shopping any car going north that crosses Lehigh will do, and exchange as above to Lehigh Ave. If you get off at North Philadelphia walk up two blocks to Lehigh and come down as above. Any car on Lehigh brings you right past our door.
Maggie, bring Scotch, English & Irish songs and I won't work you too hard only for about three quarters of an hour, while refreshments are preparing and being served. I hope you won't mind Be prepared.
Darling angel I am crazy to see you.
Au revoir till June 5th -
Devotedly,
Jessie.
