Text

CORNISH, NH,
My dear Mr. Cox:

Thank you sincerely for your note of today. I am entirely with you in the matter of the duty on art and am glad to say that I had a conversation with Senator Simmons and Mr. Underwood just before leaving Washington, in which I took the liberty of expressing to them my views about the matter. Whether I convinced them or not remains to be seen, but you may rest assured of my deep and sincere and continuing interest in the matter.
It was a pleasure to meet and shake hands with you last night.

Cordially and sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson

Mr. Kenyon Cox,
Cornish, New Hampshire.
