Text

My dear Mr President

I appreciate very deeply your note in reference to my speech.
I stated in my address before the Texas Legislature accepting my election to the Senate that I would be proud to support your ideals and policies.
It is both a pleasure and a duty to stand with you and to direct attention to the devotion and the success with which you are guiding the nation.

With every expression of regard, I am,
Most sincerely,
Morris Sheppard.

President Woodrow Wilson,
Washington, DC
