Text
My dear Mr. President:
I have taken the liberty of hastily dictating a few observations and conclusions relative to the recent election. I submit them to you for what they may be worth.
I am deeply grieved and distressed that the result was not more satisfactory, but I have an invincible faith in your leadership and in the future of our party. It is needless to say that I am always at your service.
I am
Sincerely yours,
Homer S. Cummings
To: President Wilson,
White House,
Washington, DC
