Text
My dear Senator:
Thank you for having let me see the enclosure of your two letters of yesterday, and also particularly for having let me see your own letter to Mr. Craig, of Yasoo City. You have certainly expressed the right feeling as well as the right principle in that letter. I realize the delicacy and danger of the whole business and am trying to treat it with prudence and also, which is of the essence, with promptness.
With warmest regard,
Faithfully yours,
Woodrow Wilson
Hon. John Sharp Williams,
United States Senate.
P.S. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your unqualified approval of my answer to the Austrian advances.
