Dear erson refurl="x4005043" link-pointer-type="person" reg="Cary T. Grayson">Admiral Grayson
I was so delighted to hear from you, and thank you so much for the photograph. Among my most pleasant recollections of what was, on the whole, one of the most pleasant periods of my life—the Peace Conference in Paris—was the opportunity I had of becoming acquainted with you. It is always a permanent regret to me that we did not become better acquainted until the Conference was nearly over. I would like to take this opportunity of congratulating you on having pulled through your distinguished patient. He has had a hard time but history will recognize the part he has played in the realisation of a great ideal.
Yours sincerely,
