I came in at 8.15 this morning to go to work on that Board duty, and with the exception of a visit to see one patient here and to stop for lunch I labored continously until six thirty this evening, and I am here to tell you that I am a tired boy. I going out to West Over for a good night’s rest and at it again to-morrow. I hope to finish this week.Mrs. McLean called me over the phone, asking me to dinner. She said all nice things about you & Gordon. She is most enthusiastic and with fine things about you. I told you that she had good sense and good judgment.
She wants me to take over Friendship for a recuperating hospital, etc.Dr Rixey is a little better to-day. Often asks for you & Gordon. This has been an uncomfortable day—hot and murky—fine weather to catch cold.
I hope to join you for next Sunday. Then, we can talk over moving plans. I think that you would enjoy it there until the first of October, anyway. Then, spend a few days at B.

S until 1600— is in shape etc.
That horseback ride yesterday did me lots of good. I have put in a big full days’s work—Love and lots of it and thanks for your dear letter to-day.
