THURSDAY, In the morning the President held a conference at the Murat Palace with Samuel Gompers, and later talked over the Italian problems with Premier Orlando.

In the afternoon he attended another session of the Supreme War Council.

I left for the battlefield with Colonel Percy L. Jones, Bender, Corcoran, Swem and Murphy.
