Text

My dear Daniels

Thank you for calling my attention again to the request of Mr. Robert B. Haines Jr.,
Secretary of the Scripture Gift Mission.
I take pleasure in sending you a few lines of which I am by no means proud because they seem very much below the level of the great subject they are written about but which seem to be the best that my tired brains will produce in the circumstances. Will you not be gracious enough to forward them to Mr. Haines for me, since I have lost his letter to me?
Hon. Josephus Daniels,
Secretary of the Navy.

Faithfully yours,
Woodrow Wilson
