Description
The Nelle Hiner Yount collection documents the personal experiences of two World War One soldiers. The items date from approximately 1918-1919, and describe the experiences of the American army soldier as the war in Europe was concluding. All letters were written to Nelle E. Hiner by Eugene Hanna, and these letters describe daily camp life before and during foreign deployment. The small photo album was property of Glenn E. Yount and includes mass produced small pictures of battles, prominent military luminaries, and other events of World War One as well as a few personal photos of Yount.
