It was announced at the Executive Office today that United States Fuel Administrator Garfield had tendered his resignation to take effect at the pleasure of the President, and that the President had accepted the resignation, although it was made clear that the needs of domestic consumers will continue to receive the attention of the Fuel Administration until the winter is past.
