Text

My dear Heath:

You will be glad to know that I have just received a letter from the Secretary of War about the case of Corporal Charles W. Strickling. He tells me that he has issued instructions that Strickling be commissioned a First Lieutenant, Field Artillery, National Army, and assigned to the Field Artillery Replacement Camp, Camp Jackson, South Carolina. I am heartily glad that it has turned out so.

In rushing haste,

Affectionately yours,
Woodrow Wilson
