Telegram received. Will do my best. Have telegraphed Jenkins to see Halsey and others confidentially and obtain their assistance and to cable Mott you will not accept his decision and consider imperative he accept and urging him in name of myself and others to reconsider and reply direct to Jenkins who can communicate promptly to you. Have further asked Jenkins to consult you if necessary and send you copy of message sent. I will be New York twentieth.
