Text

Dear Graham:

February 13, 1936 I am always delighted with a message from you, and especially when it is in the form of a letter. I want to emphasize the fact here and now that I never intentionally treat you or Dad Dowell with “dispersion”. Our associations on the Mayflower are the happiest of memories for me. Of course, you remember when “Dad” was in society in Washington, particularly as a dancing man. I well remember when we dressed him for the dance, and put a rubber dam under his shirt when his Texas perspiration began to flow. I wish I could have a visit with you both. Thank you for the valuable suggestions about the traffic problem. Fortunately the automobile shown in the clipping you sent me was not mine. When you come this way be sure to look me up, and at least have lunch with me.

With best wishes

Sincerely yours,

Cary T. Grayson
