Dear Sweetheart
A thousand thanks for your dear letter which arrived this morning. It made me very happy because it told me that you were feeling about all right again. I suppose I am unusually and too easily alarmed about you but when you feel badly I feel it keenly. My darling, you did exactly the right thing to call me & tell me about yourself. I would not have liked it otherwise. I always feel more comfortable about you knowing you will let me know immediately if anything goes amiss. Thank, you, my dearest, for being so frank in calling me. I love you for it.
It has been another long tedious day with the Board. I hope to vote to-morrow and complete the job by to-morrow night, and Saturday afternoon take the two o’clock train for White Sulphur. You cannot imagine how very, very anxious I am to see you, my precious.
I am taking Carlin out to dinner with me. I have not seen the McAdoo’s. He called me to-day over the phone & wanted me to have dinner with them to-night. Said many nice things about you. It is fine Gordon is eating & doing so well. Remember how I love you & that I am counting hours ’till 10.30 Saturday night.
