My dear Mrs Grayson

I hope you will think the handkerchiefs as pretty as Mrs Wilson and I do, for she helped me choose them & we think them lovely.

I do want to tell you, and this with a very full heart, what a very wonderful person I think he is. Of course you knew this all along but I hadn’t seen him under the acid test of responsibility & hard work & to see him always cheerful, never impatient is a great lesson to crabbed old me. He is all pure gold and it isn’t just because he has looked out for me and taken care that I should see things & go to things that I wouldn’t have done otherwise, for he is the same to every one. I have grown to love him just like one of my own family and I want to get home and hug you, sweet thing & tell you what we all like to hear how fine your own is.

All good wishes to you & little Gordon for the New Year

Affectionately yours

Edith Benham
