WEDNESDAY,
The President remarked that General Bliss had a more statesmanlike mind than any member of the American Commission. He called him the soldier-statesman. The President spent most of today conferring with the American peace delegates arranging the actual details of each member’s work.
DIARY ENTRY: President worked in study all morning. Walked with Mrs. W—to Crillon in afternoon—had an hour conference.
I walked through rich shopping district with Probert—Afterwards short walk with David Lawrence—Numerous conferences—Treated Miss Margarets throat and dysentery—
