Text

Dear Governor

I am sorry to hear that Mrs. Wilson is not well, but I hope it is nothing serious.

I merely wanted to talk with you about the organization for the peace conference, which I am ready to begin as soon as we have discussed it.

-------------------
In the event you do not want me to go to Europe just now and decide on sending someone to the Allied War Council, what would you think of McAdoo and Baker? It would not be a bad idea to have both of them visit England, France and Italy at this time and for reasons which are apparent.

Affectionately yours,
EM House
115 East 53rd Street,
New York.
