LET THE DISTRICT HEROES BE KNOWN
____________________
In announcing the casualties among the Americans on the fighting line in France, the War Department has decided not to make public the place of residence of the men in the lists. The next of kin or family of each man, however, is to be notified.

The Star requests that, in the interest of public information and the giving of proper honors, its attention be called to names of District and nearby Maryland and Virginia boys in the lists. Phone Main 2440 and ask for the news department, or write to the news department.
