Text

Dear Mr. President

What is the ingratitude of a people compared with the halleluiahs of the world? The victory is yours and history will record you foremost among men.

In 1920 we shall substitute "He made an end of war" for "He kept us out of war."

Faithfully and cordially,
R. W. Woolley

The President,
The White House.
