Text

My dear Mr. Bridges:

It was certainly most gracious of you to send me the verses, “To the United States of America,” which have given me, as I am sure they will give all Americans, so much gratification, and I particularly thank you for the gracious note which accompanies them. It is very delightful to exchange such greetings of genuine sympathy and correspondence of thought, and I beg to be permitted to send you my warmest personal greetings and good wishes.

Cordially and sincerely yours,

Woodrow Wilson
