Text

My darling Jessie

I have just written my real letter and sent it to Nell at Rome, for letters take so long to reach Italy that we thought it would almost certainly miss you if we directed it to Rome. But I will also send a little one to Florence that you may in any event have a little message of love at the regular time.Callers interrupted mama and I end this little note in order that I may take it down before the post closes. We are all perfectly well and even in the midst of all work and hurry and interruption of these first days of the term, have our dear one's every moment in our thought. We love you so and are so happy in your constant enjoyment of what you are seeing and doing.
Give our dear love to Miss Mary and Miss Lucy and keep for yourselves a heartful from each one of us.

Your devoted
Father
