Text

Sunday - 10- a. m.

My Precious One -

Altrude has just gone and I am waiting for Mr. Wilson - who will come before I have said any thing, save the thing you know best already — and that is — I love you - - Are you happy dear little Boy this radiant morning? Some way - last night I thought you did not seem as bouyant as usual — I hope I was mistaken and that nothing, mental or physical, is disturbing you.

Altrude and I talked until after three this a.m. and I woke before seven — but I feel perfectly fresh and well — and so happy — because you love me

Hope Mr. Lansing will bring good tidings from his interview — and there will be an end of anxiety from that quarter - Did you read your Sister's note to me? It is sweet and generous - and I shall answer it at once- With all my love - I am

Your own,

Edith
