Dear Senator Glass:
I hope you have not abandoned the idea of a European holiday, and that before you leave we may have the pleasure of seeing you here at the Federal Reserve Bank.
My plans have rather unexpectedly matured, so that I am sailing for Europe on the 27th of June myself, and shall be accompanied by my daughter.
Is it possible that you will be leaving before then, so that I may have opportunity to see you in New York, or possibly we might have the good fortune to meet abroad.
In any event, I hope you will advise me something of your plans and let me carry out the suggestion of sending you some letters to banking friends who, I am sure, would enjoy the privilege of meeting you.
With kindest regards, believe me,
