Text

My dear Senator Glass:
Just as soon as the date of your trip has been decided, won’t you be good enough to let me know.
There is a bare possibility of my being in London toward the latter part of your stay abroad, but in any event, I should very much appreciate it if my friends, Governor Norman, Sir Charles Addis of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, and Lord Revelstoke of Baring Brothers, might have the opportunity of meeting you, and possibly some others if you feel willing to be burdened with additional letters.
And then if you could arrange to spend some time with us at the bank before sailing, I should be even more pleased.
With kindest regards, believe me,
