Dear Mr. Strong:
I tried to get you on the telephone to-day, but was advised that you are in Connecticut. I enclose copy of a telegram I sent to Mr. Wigginto-day. Things seem to be going along splendidly, and I shall be very happy if you will join Wiggin in pushing matters from that end. If Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston will do their part there ought to be no more difficulty. I am inclined to think that Philadelphia and Boston will each take $5,000,000. Then, if Chicago will take $9,000,000, the deed is done, since Wade telegraphs me that St. Louis will take another million.
Faithfully yours,
Enclosure.
